Our approach in practice

A regulated institution with a clear identity

Kingdom First Capital Ltd is licensed and regulated by the Reserve Bank of Malawi as a non-deposit-taking microfinance institution.

Our legal identity and regulatory status should be easy to find. We describe our institution accurately so you know who you are dealing with. We are a lender, not a deposit-taking bank, and these loan pages do not offer a savings or deposit account. Regulation does not guarantee approval or remove your repayment obligations.

Your circumstances come first

A useful loan starts with the reason you need it. Tell us what you want to achieve, when funds are needed and how repayments would fit your income. Our approach is to listen, clarify the need and explain the next step.

For a business, that means discussing cash flow and the activity the finance would support. For a personal or Civil Servant Loan, it means considering take-home income, essential spending and existing commitments. The right decision may be a smaller amount, a different timetable or waiting until the numbers work.

Understand the commitment before you accept

You should be able to explain your loan in your own words: how much you receive, what it costs, when you repay and what happens if circumstances change.

Ask for the rate and its calculation method, every required fee, the total repayment, the payment schedule and any security or guarantee obligations in writing. If a figure or condition is unclear, ask the team to explain it before you accept. An initial enquiry does not commit you to borrowing.

Practical guidance as well as finance

Confidence grows when you can make sense of the numbers. Our guides and planning tools help you prepare a household budget, forecast business cash, compare loan costs and organise your questions.

Use them at your own pace, without opening an account. The loan calculator is an illustration, not a quote or decision. Your own records and the lender’s written terms remain the basis for deciding whether a commitment fits your circumstances.

A straightforward first step

Start with a short request: your purpose, location and preferred contact details. Choose your preferred contact method, review your answers, then send the prepared enquiry using your own email service or call KFC. You do not need to upload identity documents or bank statements in the initial enquiry.

The team then explains the requirements for the relevant application. If an offer is approved, review its terms before deciding whether to accept. There is no promise of automatic approval or a guaranteed payment date.

Respectful service and a way to raise concerns

Our aim is to make every conversation clear, respectful and useful. Ask questions at any stage, tell us if you need an explanation in simpler language, and contact the team early if repayment may become difficult.

You can use the customer-support route for help with an existing loan and the complaints route to raise a concern. Keep a record of your enquiry and ask what happens next. A customer should not have to apply for another loan simply to get help with an existing one.

Confidence also means knowing what to check

Use KFC’s confirmed contact and payment channels. Never share a password, PIN or one-time code with someone claiming to arrange a loan. Before sending documents or money, confirm the recipient and purpose directly with KFC.

Do not rely on a social-media message promising guaranteed approval. Check the written terms, keep receipts and ask about any request you do not understand. No website can honestly promise that borrowing is risk-free.

Rooted in purpose and focused on Malawi

Our story began in 2012 as Nile Flow Limited, now Kingdom First Capital Ltd. We were established to address the financing needs of entrepreneurs and lower-income individuals who struggle to find suitable support through traditional channels.

Our faith-based roots shape our emphasis on integrity, stewardship and service. Our purpose is practical: widen access to responsible finance and useful skills so people can build stronger livelihoods. Ambitions for future reach are goals, not claims of impact already achieved.
