Set a strategy and a 90 day action plan

Choose the few outcomes that matter most, decide what you will do differently and give each action an owner and a review date.

Describe the starting position

Review customers, sales, cash, delivery quality, staff capability and your main constraints. Use current records. Note strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats only when they lead to a choice. Write down what the business will stop or postpone.

Choose up to three measurable outcomes

For each outcome, record the baseline, target, deadline and evidence source. Use measures you can influence and verify, such as repeat orders, on-time delivery or overdue receivables. Avoid growth targets that require cash or capacity you have not planned.

Translate each outcome into work

Break the first 90 days into actions with one accountable owner, a due date, a budget and a dependency. Decide what needs approval before spending. Link planned payments to the cash forecast. An owner is responsible for reporting progress even where others help deliver the work.

Review and adjust deliberately

Meet monthly to compare actual results with the baseline and target. Record what changed, the decision and the next action. Test a delay, higher cost or weaker sales assumption before committing to expansion. Refresh the plan when evidence changes rather than waiting until the year ends.

Put it into practice

Complete one outcome and its first three actions in the downloadable template. Put the first review meeting in your calendar.

Take the next step with clarity

Lending is subject to eligibility, assessment and agreed terms. An enquiry is not a loan approval.
